birthday pics take 2

One of the fun things with the balloons was putting them in the kitchen with all the long strings hanging down around the kitchen table.

We thought this was pretty cool

Clayton's And Crista's birthday

This Sunday is Clayton and Crista's birthday, however we are having the Killpack family party that day, so last friday we celebrated their birthdays. We had cake, ice cream, presents and balloons. I ordered a balloon for each year they are. (Clayton 41, Crista 18) and attachted to each balloon was a reason we loved them. It turned out pretty cute.

The yellow and pink balloons were for Crista.

Red and blue for Clayton

more of the great wall

This is my partner in crime at the Great Wall.
Patty and I at the beginning of the journey. If you see the highest point in this picture...there are about two or three command posts that take you higher. This was deceiving on how far you needed to go.

This is us climbing. Behind us is the non-heart attach side. We went up the steep side.

This is about half way.

The Very top!!! We made it!

This is the nice man that helped us down. (We only had 20 mins to get back) He is the superintentdent in a district in New York. He was great and invited us for a drink later.

The Great Wall of China

While in China we had a very short time on the Great Wall. We had two hours to climb to the top. It was a major accomplishment for me to reach the top. It was amazing. The steps were uneven and breaking, the railing was down around my knees and it was as steep as hell. Best leg workout I had done in awhile.

a view from one post.

a view going up. That command post isn't the top. There were about 3 other posts higher than that one.

People walking down.

Forbidden City

In November I was able to go to China for and educational trip. Though I missed Clayton, I had a great time with positive poeple. What a great experience.
